Our Engine Mount Kit Allows the following engines to be fitted to a KA:

Track Designs The front slam panel has to be trimmed on 16v engines to clear the exhaust cam pully. Other then this no other cutting or welding is needed!

With all conversions the KA IB5 gearbox is used. For Zetec conversions where the starter motor is on the back of the engine a ka box from a 1.3 endura is used, as well as the ka starter motor. For CVH engines the 1.3 Duratec, or the 1.6 box from a sport/ street Ka is used, as the starter is mounted on the front. Other benifits include:

Track Designs On 2.0 zetecs the 1.8 silvertop sump and oil pick up pipe have to be fitted. This allows the engine to mate up to the ka gearbox. As well as a 220mm flywheel found on a 1.8 zetec. For standard power a 1.8 zetec escort clutch can be used, or a rs turbo clutch. For tuned engines an organic rs turbo item is recommended. For extreme power a AP 4 Paddle can be used, ALCON 6 paddle will also fit, and is regarded as being the best for huge power levels.

We supply a cast alloy arm that mounts to the original mounting points on the ka shell and allows a CVH/ RS turbo rubber mount to be fitted. In a kit you will receive one alloy arm, one brand new RS turbo rubber bush and a rear engine bracket to suit the engine you wish to fit.
